Last year, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation launched Visioning Forward, a process rooted in reflection, assessment and strategic planning. It allowed us to look closely at where we’ve been, where we are and where we need to go.
Now, as we step into 2026, we’re moving from planning to action.
We’re proud to introduce the next phase of this work: Visioning Forward: Advancing Public Education. This isn’t just a theme, it’s our commitment in motion.
Our focus is clear: support Ohio educators, improve learning environments and expand opportunities for all students. Every decision we make, every partnership we build, is guided by the belief that all students deserve access to high-quality public education.

Action. Ideas are now becoming initiatives.
Collaboration. Progress happens when we work together.
Impact. Our efforts must lead to meaningful, lasting change.
As we implement this phase of our strategic plan, we stay grounded in our mission: to foster the development of young people and to provide a greater means for accomplishment on the part of Ohio’s teachers by encouraging creativity in teaching.
Visioning Forward is more than a framework. It’s a reflection of our belief in the power of public education to transform lives and communities.
When educators are supported and students are empowered, the future of public education is bright. We are honored to walk alongside Ohio’s schools in this next chapter.
